AP - An oil platform that burned off the Louisiana coast Thursday was the second such disaster in the Gulf of Mexico in less than five months. This time, the Coast Guard said there was no leak, and no one was killed.
An oil and gas production platform in the Gulf of Mexico was hit by a severe fire. All thirteen crew members abandoned the platform and were picked out of the water by a passing ship. There were no serious injuries.
